THE COLLECTION

When out and about looking for and photographing the local fauna and flora I've always got half an eye out for any other photo opportunity that may present itself, consequently my computer hard drives get laden down with a rather diverse collection of images.

During the last couple of weeks, whilst the weather has been wearing it's cold, dark, dingy and miserable hat,  I've spent some time looking through and processing  (with a heavy input from Photoshop)  some of these images.

There's no underlying  theme or reason for any of these images I just hope I've 'created' something that pleases the eye!

I look forward to your thoughts and comments...good or bad!

SWIRL

SECURE

CAUGHT IN TIME

JUST PASSING BY

GOLD CATCHER

REACHING OUT

WAITING FOR THE TIDE

SHIMMER

GOLDEN BLUE

UP AND DOWN BROWN

THE SENTINEL

ROAD MAP TO LIFE

AVENUE TO.......

 Thanks for looking!

A real treat Trevor. Barring the Golden Blue they are superb....Is the snail a copse snail....if it's small it maybe if its big it is happen a Roman snail...A beauty whatever.
My favourite is the last....even the sky blow out enhances the image. It is a wonder and would do anyone's wall a real treat.

Thanks Adrian. The snail is a Brown-lipped Snail (cepaea nemoralis) about 20mm in dia. there were 5 of them 'resting' at about head height on this tree...this was the prettiest!

Yeh! I'm afraid blown out skies are an occupational hazard when it comes to my landscape photography!!...[;o)

Wonderful images Trevor.
My favourite is "secure" closely followed by "caught in time".
Both are trapped... one by man the other by nature. I hope that doesn't sound too arty farty but there is a link.

Adrian, I'm 99% sure it's a Brown-lipped, I've just Googled 'Brown-lipped images' and the colours vary between a dull brown and the downright gaudy!...[;o)

Hi Grace...Thanks, I'm glad you liked one or two of them...lol!...[;o)

you've created some lovely graphics here Trevor, some thought provoking in their nature 'secure' for example. I especially loved The Sentinel and the other was I believe something titled like Avenue; also the silhouetted forms of the seed heads. Nature always offers such a bounty of intruige.

Lovely photos Trevor, a very creative collection. My favourites are 'Caught in Time' and 'Gold Catcher' I love the imaginative titles too of which I thought 'Road Map to Life' was just brilliant!

I recognise a lot of these Trevor. You've certainly got a good eye for a picture. Enjoyed them all.

Brilliany eye for an image Trevor, it would be a bit churlish for me to pick a favourite, but really like Up and Down Brown, also Waiting for Tide reminds me of so many days out.
