Hi Trevor...My first post visit of the day and it gave me the a good laugh!!
Well at least I think they are
funny :}}}!
Awesome close up's!!
I especially like the blue face on, and your last fella needs a shave, his stubble is showing!!
You just can't help but think about those crazy horror movies where the giant Dragon fly takes over the city!!

Love this post!!

Bloody hell Trevor I go up a gear and you go six in front. Own up now. I'm feeling suicidal...Have you been a cropping?
Absolutely perfect are these. Something for me to aspire to.

Hi Grace... Thank you. I'm glad they made you laugh, it's a good way to start the day!
I guess the bearded one might have been out on the tiles all night!!
Keep looking over your shoulder....you never know!!...lol...[;o)

Sorry about that Adrian, I didn't mean to upset your state of mind!
Yeh, they're all cropped to varying degrees. All taken with the 100mm macro (+ 1.6 crop factor) hand held at it's minimum focusing distance (about a foot, with the subject about 2" in front of the lens hood!) with a lot of crawling on hands and knees and, I must say, a certain amount of stealth on my part!!...[;o)

I'll give you Hand Held. I'll hand hold mine..I'm spitting midges here. Brilliant they are Trevor and at least you know what you are aiming at.

Adrian, I can't be fussed with all that tripod setting up malarky!! (strangely though, I do use one for photographing fungi! weird because they are about the only thing that's not going to run or fly away!!)
You can keep the midges..it's thunder flies here!
Most times I have to wait till I get home to see what I've taken pictures of and then the delete button works overtime!...[;o)

Trevor, very well done, i had a go at macro today with butterfly as the subject, what sort of f/stop and shutter speed did you use. 135 OF MY SNAPS WENT IN THE BIN.
