After a busy breeding season now is the time of year when
many of our small garden birds begin to go into a full moult and replace their old
worn out feathers with pristine new ones. This process can take from 6 to 8
weeks depending on the species, during which time they will mostly stay hidden
from view in the bushes and undergrowth.

Wonderful images.......they look as if they have had grooming lessons from a Coal Tit.
